Our comparison and "best software" articles are honest. We tell you who each tool is not for, not just who it is for. When we earn an affiliate commission from a tool we recommend, it never changes the ranking — the best pick is the best pick.

Publish and update dates reflect real changes to the content. We do not bump a date without revising the article. When software changes, we update the guide or retire it — we don't leave outdated steps online.
